The first version was created in 2000/2001 for a project at ThoughtWorks. We created it to help Business Analysts write and execute tests for a large leasing application.
But the developers still had to write the tests because all tests were written in Java code.
The second version was created in 2005 for Harris Corporation to help test a large Java application to monitor cell phone networks - NetBoss.
This version actually did have test scripts that most anyone could read or write that the system would execute against the Java application.
The third version is being created based on what we learned building the first 2 versions and adds support for web page testing. Note: Java app testing functionality is on hold will we get the web version fleshed out. Stay Tuned.
